From Adventure to Innovation: The Story Behind Logan’s Solution

From Adventure to Innovation: The Story Behind Logan’s Solution
I’m Tyler Logan, and for as long as I can remember, the outdoors has been at the center of my life. I grew up backpacking, car camping, canoe camping, camping off paddle boards and motorcycles, and doing just about every outdoor activity you can imagine. Being outside wasn’t just a hobby; it shaped who I am.

For years, I dreamed of traveling the country full-time in a van. That dream eventually evolved into building a budget overlanding rig on a 2006 Chevy Silverado. Before hitting the road, I was working as a union carpenter for about a year, and during that time, I hand-built a square-drop camper from the ground up, then sold it to help fund my travels and the next chapter of my life.

I hit the road with my high-school sweetheart, traveling across the U.S. for several months. We explored, camped, worked, and learned a lot about what life on the move really required. During those travels, my passion for designing and building overlanding systems started to grow. Every custom project I built deepened that admiration for the craft, and eventually inspired me to turn it into a business.

And that’s how Logan’s Solution was born.

In the beginning, Logan’s Solution focused on fully custom overlanding drawer systems. Most of my work centered around:
• Custom plywood drawer systems
• SUV sleeping platforms
• Rear seat deletes
• Fridge slides

Each project was unique. Each setup was built with intention, problem-solving, and real-world use in mind. And with every build, I kept thinking about the same idea:

I wanted to create something rugged, long-lasting, modular, and cleanly designed, something that could be mass-produced, but still felt practical and purposeful for real-world adventure.

I knew the general direction… I just didn’t know what the final form was yet.

Even after my fiancée and I stopped traveling full-time, we never stopped exploring. We still made frequent trips to our favorite place, the mountains, of course. Sometimes we’d take the truck for capability, other times her small car to save on gas. Switching between vehicles made one problem really clear:

I needed a simple cooking system that:
• Set up in seconds
• Provided a comfortable, usable cooking space
• Was compact and easy to move between vehicles
• Worked across multiple setups

That problem became the spark.

And then, one day, the idea just clicked.

That idea became The Kitchen.

A compact, rugged, aluminum cooking system built for real adventure… created from years of travel, problem-solving, and hands-on building experience.

Not designed in an office.
Not inspired by trends.
But built from living the lifestyle.

Logan’s Solution isn’t just a business, it’s the story of:
• chasing a dream
• learning through experience
• building with your hands
• and turning passion into something real

Every product I design comes from that same mindset: practical, durable, functional, and made for people who truly use their gear.

The Kitchen is just the beginning.

Tyler is the absolute best. So creative and knowledgeable. I was not sure exactly what I wanted but he worked with me to get a design down that I loved. He loves the craft and traveling so knows exactly what you would need to be comfortable. I had him build a custom car camping set up and would go with him 100x over again.

Tyler did AMAZING work on the seat delete platform for my Tundra! I can still access the storage, and have little cubbies in the floorboard space to stash extra gear... but most importantly, my dog's kennel will be secure if the worst were to ever happen! I'll definitely be back if I ever upgrade trucks and need a new platform, or decide I need an additional storage system for my truck.
